DTCS COMPANY ANNIVESARY AND TEAM BUILDING ACTVITY

D. TAROMA CONSTRUCTION SERVICES celebrates its 4 th Year Anniversary with the theme “IN DTCS, We Care.” Four years ago, DTCS began with a vision of engineering, construction and project management service company by delivering results with outstanding quality without diminishing accuracy; building promising careers for people and be the top choice service provider of clients. And amidst the twists and turns of the succeeding 4 years, the vision still remained true.

To celebrate this important milestone for the DTCS community, a series of activities were held in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. And the first part of the celebration was held on August 19 at the Quezon Island of Hundred Islands. The program started with the invocation led by Reggie Querido, DTCS
Accounting Supervisor. DTCS President Engr. Drazen U. Taroma gave the opening remarks. The first day would not be complete without the teambuilding games, the main purpose of this activity is to measure discipline, teamwork, camaraderie and leadership. Five teams fought against the other team to win the prize.

As what the theme says “In DTCS. We Care”, the DTCS community visited Alaminos Central School, conducted an outreach program for special children with the help of JCI Hundred Islands. After introduction, the program brought the house up when Mr. Jansen Romualdo sang God Gave Me You to warmly hug the children and their parents. And the main purpose for the program, the DTCS community gave school supplies to the children and a monetary donation to give assistance and strength to continue their purpose in life.

An HIV and STI Awareness Symposium were held at The Great Plebeian College in Alaminos City. Conducted by JCI Hundred Islands in partnership with GPC – CSSG and DTCS. “With the increasing rate of HIV case in the Philippines, we want to educate them the word discipline because discipline is the true foundation of all. We want everyone to be protected while enjoying their life.” – said Kevin Jacinto, a member of the LGBT+ community.

A search for Miss FATalbugan and That’s My Tomboy and Cheers and Yells was also held in the morning of August 21 at the Bolo Beach officiated by Reggie Querido and co-officiated by Jansen Romualdo. Awarding of winners were given for the team building activity and employee awards was also given to the employees. From its 4-year journey, Engr. Drazen said that “DTCS will continue to stand proud and provide the highest quality possible through our commitment to solid work ethics and to deliver exceptional client service on a timely basis.”

DTCS STRENGTHENS SAFETY MEASURES, HOLDS BLS, FIRST-AID TRAINING FOR EMPLOYEES

Strengthening the provision of safety measures to its employees to save in everyday and emergency situations, the Drazen Taroma Construction Services (DTCS) sent three of its staff to a two-day in-house first aid and basic life support training at Double Dragon Meridian Park, Pasay City on November 24-25, 2017.

Organized by Megawide, the training was in compliance with the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) order which mandates construction project owner to ensure the safety of its workers. The department order also requires such owner to maintain minimum inventory of medicines, supplies, and equipment on its construction site.

In its pursuit not only to comply with such order but also to stay true with its commitment to safety and innovations in its operations, DTCS ordered its safety officers, namely, Emerson Agacaoili, Lou Ballescas, and JM Pal-ec, to attend the training. This made all seven safety officers hired by DTCS accredited and trained in first-aid and BLS.

For construction companies, basic life support skill and first-aid training is of utmost importance to the overall operations which is high-risk.

“We are hoping that with the training, our safety officers will be able to cascade what they learned in the seminar to all our employees and highlight to the entire company the importance of first-aid and basic life support,” noted Engr. Drazen Taroma, owner and CEO of DTCS.

On November 8, 2017, DTCS also conducted a one-day safe gondola operation for its employees, a manifestation of the great value that it puts to the safety of its employees.
